March 2020: call for submissions

To new and regular contributors to Free Verse Revolution, the March 2020 submissions window is open!

The theme will be Bridges and it can be interpreted in any way you wish; whether that be physical bridges, barriers or links between the physical and the metaphysical, what we find beneath them or pieces inspired by the verb ‘to bridge’.

I accept poetry and short pieces of prose which interpret the theme of the month in some way, and only one piece from each writer; but you may send up to three pieces for consideration.

Please follow the guidelines, it makes accepting your work and scheduling it for publication so much easier. I edit FVR alone so these guidelines do exist for a reason. Thank you.

Submission guidelines:

Send your submissions to

March’s theme: Bridges

Interpret the theme any way you wish; you do not need to use the word as a title. Pieces may be previously published.

Submission format: poem/short prose should be attached via email as a Word Document or Google Doc. Please refrain from pasting it into the email as this makes formatting very difficult.

Images: if you wish to send an accompanying image with your piece, please attach this separate to the document.

Short bio: if this is your first time submitting work for consideration, include a short biography and relevant links to your work.

I look forward to hearing from you!

Kristiana, x
