Melancholy Embraced – Taylor Grace

Yearning to feel something
A Desperate need
Devouring me
Comfortably numb no longer satisfying
Even rage
So far lost
Time can’t replace
Existence fueled by memories
Suppressing everything
Today I set it free
Everything is coming clean
No longer afraid
Shadows of what I’ve seen
I can hear the horror
The past setting me free
Unshackled to the trauma
I can finally breathe
A sound in the distance
Rattling loose
It’s my screams
I can feel everything
The weight that has held me captive
Prisoner of many scenes
All unfolding
Rushing back to me
The multitude of wrongs
Set free
Heart racing
I welcome it all
Soul is free
Soothed by the melancholy embrace

Some days a domestic goddess, and other days a lost woman that still hasn’t bothered to brush her hair. My journey is full of life’s whimsical tales, love, laughter, heartache, trauma, passion, fantasy and everything in between. My writing is raw, sometimes too raw but I write it anyways, it’s my truth, my voice and I will share it. I’ve been described as honest, even complicated and have a whole lot of sassy undertones, so things get interesting, even comical at times.

Glad you are here and hope you enjoy reading my thoughts, stories and poems, as much as I enjoyed writing them! xoxo
