stay with me

stay with me,
the space between two graves where
a YIN and its YANG are
laid to rest
because no opposite should
exist without the
other.

stay with me,
like the words to childhood limericks,
fables I never finished playing out.

stay with
me, like
doubt,

ready to leave
as health

so we might
melt cryogenic souls, told
they would only know the
ambience of ice.

stay with
me tonight,
two scribes of
short sighted
gain mistaken
thrice
for a clash of wills,
dressed to kill
so long

loneliness became a vice,
a paper smoked

and we often forget the
need to still
light
up.
