#micropoetry: Last Breath

And with my last breath, I’m alive
in the most definitive sense I’ll
ever be,

grazing

razor’s edge between
time of death and that
last seen animated,

granted awareness of
parallel timelines,
universes long
dissipated,
paradoxical clues;

time traveled
eyes and alternate yous

dancing against an isle of
mist,
where dahlias bloom in
shades of shadow, and each
step lands with bravado,

a faded
hiss

as returns
to yesterday flash before you;

hyperbolas populated- or rather,

satiated-
with a specific kiss
you never shared.

(This poem was constructed by combining prompts on Twitter. The phrases proposed as highlighted in bold.)
