Brave New World

In a framework built for more courageous names
we’re left to deconstruct our grave
ambitions

(they
carry us through
bliss and pain and
smiles
and bitterness while
insanity and death,
vanity and vapour breath are
all the rage)

Like rodents in a cage fighting for
square inches
of radioactive space,
clawing the face off what
remains of dignity,

the whole world is
shitting
gods and geopolitical
injustice
to justify their
tug of war with
repugnant
causes-

when do the losses
equal victory? when do the
fissures amount to fortitude,

taking scissors to
the nude earth if it
fills the
dearth no
deity would wish to
see filled?

Instead we kill, and
in turn, we give birth to
our undoing.

  1. Powerful and exceedingly apt. In our ambition for glory and victory; power and authority, we initiate a catastrophic re-generative carnivore. This has actually inspired me with an idea. Love this piece btw! Re-blogging it.

In our ambition for glory and victory; power and authority, we initiate a catastrophic re-generative carnivore. It is what happened to the Roman, Ottoman and British Empires. And now to Russia, Israel, Iraq and the USA. Is history truly a lesson?
