The Fear Campaign

In the classrooms of our national
conscience,

fear’s but
another promise
read from picture books with
autonomous
agendas;

their progress is
propaganda while the
press
ruthlessly dissects
stanzas of

politicized poetry,
oratory prose between
warring factions all

incapable of
action anyway.

Do you stick with
the devil you know, or the
one who will punish us all for

incumbent
pain?

It was our
apathy that
led

us here in the

first place.
